Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi
Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi was one of the Keynote speakers for Restoring the Soul’s conference in 2005, “Soul and Service.” The title of his talk was “Repairing the Social Fabric with the Help of the Spirit.”
He is the founding father and spiritual leader of the Jewish Renewal Movement. He held the World Wisdom Chair at Naropa University and is Professor Emeritus at both Naropa and Temple University.
He also leads the Sage-ing Guild. a networking organization for professionals trained in his Sage-ing philosophy. Sage-ing® is the process of approaching aging as a positive journey filled with wisdom, learning and possibility. It affirms the importance of the older years and teaches how to harvest life's wisdom and transform it into a legacy for future generations. Sage-ing addresses spiritual development, interpersonal relationships, communication skills, service work and social aspects of aging.
