Services

The following services are available through our organization and are free of charge:

• Communication services for exchange of information on needs, events, and opportunities for partnership via monthly email announcements to 400 agencies and congregations
• Information sharing on vital local social issues and services through monthly free panel discussions
• Service study guides to inspire and support volunteers
• Discussion meeting with our organization's personnel to explore first steps into Boulder County social engagement and eventual collaborations
• Initial assessment of a congregation’s capacity for social engagement
• Establishing a mentor relationship for your congregation with actively engaged congregations
• Initial capacity building workshop for congregations
• Volunteer workshop - An initial workshop for congregations and nonprofits: How to Enroll Volunteers
• Initial mentoring workshop for volunteers from congregations intending to collaborate with service agencies
• Referrals to advanced workshops on these topics
  

These social issues drive our work in fostering and supporting partnerships. We have used several resources to identify these issues as well as information from a large number of social service agencies. The main resource is the Boulder County Strategic Plan . Other resources are the Civic Forum's "Boulder County Trends: The Community Foundation's Report on Key Indicators 2008" and a preliminary report issued by The Boulder County Public Health Department and the Boulder Valley and St. Vrain Valley School Districts, “Adolescent Health in Boulder County.” These documents are generally available from the issuing organizations.
